Ingredient Spotlight: Vitamin C

Not all Vitamin C is created equal. We break down the science behind ascorbic acid.

Vitamin C is one of the most researched and celebrated active ingredients in skincare. But here's what most brands won't tell you: not all forms of Vitamin C work the same way.

L-Ascorbic Acid: The Gold Standard

The most bioavailable and research-backed form is L-ascorbic acid. It's the only form that's been proven in clinical studies to:

  • Visibly brighten skin tone
  • Stimulate collagen synthesis
  • Neutralise free radicals
  • Reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation

Why It's Tricky to Formulate

L-ascorbic acid is highly unstable. It oxidises when exposed to light, air, and heat — which is why so many Vitamin C products turn orange or brown in the bottle.

Our Regenerating Serum uses a stabilised form of L-ascorbic acid at an optimal pH, packaged in UV-blocking amber glass to preserve potency from the first drop to the last.

How to Use It

Apply 2-3 drops to clean, dry skin every morning. Follow with SPF. For best results, use consistently for at least 8 weeks.
